Sell Christmas Day and Mother's Day as set-price events

Use OmniDine events to sell your busiest dates at a fixed per-person price with a set menu, paid upfront.

5 min readUpdated 21 October 2026

The busiest days of the year are also the riskiest: a full book, a stretched kitchen, and a painful no-show bill if guests don't turn up. Events let you sell those days on your terms.

  1. 1

    Create the event

Give it a name, a date, a per-person price and the set menu. It appears as a card on your booking page.

  2. 2

    Choose the window

The event can take the whole day or part of it, such as the evening only. Inside the window, only event seatings are offered; normal tables stay bookable outside it.

  3. 3

    Choose how guests pay

Paid in full when booking, a per-person deposit, or paid on the day, with card guarantees still available.

  4. 4

    Cap the covers

Set a maximum so you never sell more than the kitchen can cook.

  5. 5

    Watch it sell

The Events page shows covers sold, booked value and money already paid.

A Christmas Day event: £85 per person, covers sold against the cap, and money paid upfront.

On the day

On the till plans, each event table's bill opens with the set menu at the booked price, and any prepayment is redeemed at the till, so nothing is mis-charged or charged twice.

Reservations is free for one venue, with no card needed. Add the till for £10 a month when you're ready.
